Through "iFolders Safe," users can perform basic file operations including creating new folders and subfolders, cutting, copying, pasting, renaming, deleting, compressing (ZIP), and modifying files—thus facilitating familiar workflows on mobile devices. The application allows the creation of folders with distinct access levels: PUBLIC, which are accessible to all users; PRIVATE, protected by a unique password and accessible only in private mode; and PROTECTED, which require individual passwords for each folder when in private mode, enhancing security and privacy controls.

File transfer capabilities enable users to easily import images via folder structures akin to those on a PC's hard disk—using copy/paste, cut/paste operations, or iTunes File Sharing. Visual browsing of images is supported through manual navigation or an automated slideshow feature with adjustable intervals (3, 5, 7, 10 seconds), optional randomization, and looping—comparable to digital photo frames.

The application further facilitates customization by allowing users to assign cover images to folders and subfolders. Document and video files can be saved and viewed directly within the app, and music files can be played as standalone audio or synchronized as a slideshow soundtrack with selectable album covers. Sharing options include exporting files to other applications such as Dropbox or via email.

Additional functionalities include compressing (ZIP) and decompressing (UNZIP) files within the device's file system or received attachments. Users can also access detailed information about individual files and folders—such as resolution, file size, path, and content counts.
